About
Debrief Adventure Festival is the outcome of a couple of decades of a group of have-a-go idiots fumbling around on mountainsides and falling off of crags. Our expeditions have been more about anecdotes than adventure - and that's the thing we now love the most. The stories.
We're here to platform, promote, celebrate, and inspire people from our region, by supporting the awesome outdoor and adventure community. We do this through our annual festival, in-person workshops and seminars, online content, and, well, any way possible.

Adam.
It was during lockdown, I think when a lot of people were missing that 'togetherness', I had the idea of putting on an adventure festival in Ipswich. It took a few years to get out of my own way and actually take it from idea, to actual event.
I've been blown away with the support and encouragement from the community, and inspired almost on a daily basis by the incredible outdoor and adventure lovers here in the region, whether its people trying something for the first time, a new piece of research, or winning an ultra-marathon.
Our region has so much to offer, whenever I talk to people involved in adventure sports, there is a buzz, you heard it from me first, this is the adventure coast.
Mike.
Mike, adventure buddy and over-seer of all things involving a lens. Mike is the man behind Ember Creative, and has been supporting Debrief since day 1. Not that he has much choice, with round the clock whattsapps, braindumps, and general pleas for help.
He often cites the famous photographer Wayne Gretzky as a key inspiration, quote "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" as true for any photographer as it is for an ice-hocky player.
